On Saturday, 7/29 Our South Florida Associates volunteered on our first Habitat for Humanity build. With this group of 6 houses, Habitat has brought a total of 434 homes to our community. Our group of 13 installed shingles and painted the exterior of 2 of the homes on this project.   A big thank you to CBI’s Live Love Serve Foundation, who provided $5,000.00 to host the team build day.  Our donation provided all of the materials used by the army of 58 volunteers that day.  In effect, CBI supplied, the paint, rollers, brushes, buckets, shingles, nail guns and professional contractors needed to supervise the teams.

Our team felt so blessed to have had the opportunity to serve in our community and work with such an amazing organization.  It was wonderful to meet the homeowners on this build and hear about the process they go through to be accepted by the program and to hear how impactful the security of homeownership is to them and their families.
