CBI Donates Iconic Knoll Table to Non-profit, Bring Your Brokenness

CBI’s Jacksonville office recently made a big impact on the local non-profit Bring Your Brokenness when they donated an iconic Florence Knoll table to the organization. Bring your Brokenness supports and provides treatment for women struggling with eating disorders, and their mission is to provide a safe and loving environment where these women can find hope, healing and life transformation through God’s Word.

Madelen Salter, CBI’s Market Director in Jacksonville is a member of the Board of Directors for Bring Your Brokenness and became aware that the organization needed furniture solutions to outfit one of their new residential homes, The Charis House. The Charis House will soon serve as a residential treatment facility for women who need a higher level of care then normal, and the Florence Knoll table will be used in the dining room of the home offering a place for women to gather and have meals together throughout their time at Bring Your Brokenness.

“We were so glad to be able to provide this iconic table for use in The Charis House,” says Madelen. “Florence Knoll’s designs are known for their beauty and simplicity and I can’t help but to think that the Florence Knoll table is the perfect piece to offer the women residing in the Charis House a safe, secure place to gather and take meals.”

In addition to the table, CBI also donated Muuto Fiber Swivel Base arm chairs to provide additional seating in the house.

“It means so much to me, on a personal level, when individuals and organizations visit Bring Your Brokenness to learn our mission and support what we’re doing,” says Aime Shields, Founder and Executive Director of Bring Your Brokenness. “Every hour, someone dies as a direct result of their eating disorder, even though there is a cure. The urgency is real. Most people who struggle do not have access to the kind of treatment they need. Bring Your Brokenness is working hard to make quality treatment accessible to anyone who struggles, with or without insurance. So, when corporations like CBI offer to sponsor or donate tangible items for our future residential facility, it matters! They are a part of the lifesaving work that we do, and as Executive Director, that thrills my heart. Thank you, CBI, for being part of the hope and healing for life transformation that we provide. Together, we are making a difference!”

“I have learned so much about this amazing organization as I’ve served on the Board of Directors, and the positive impact and healing that Bring Your Brokenness offers women who are struggling is truly unique,” says Madelen. “Our team at CBI loves partnering with Bring Your Brokenness, and we will continue to support them however we can in the future.” Learn more about Bring Your Brokenness by visiting www.bringyourbrokenness.com.
