CBI’s Work on the Veterans Bridge Home Salute to Service Lounge Wins a CoreNet Core Award

On January 20, 2022, the CoreNet Carolinas Chapter hosted their annual CORE Awards, in-person for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CORE Awards is a ceremony which promotes the excellence and effectiveness of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) professionals and the CRE industry in the Carolinas by celebrating exemplary contributions at a festive gathering of CoreNet members and constituents. The 2022 event was held at The Ritz-Carlton in Uptown Charlotte and was well attended by industry professionals.

John Sell, SVP, GM & Market Leader for CBI’s Charlotte location and Chris Turner, SVP Interior Construction & Field Operations represented CBI, Knoll and Falkbuilt at the event. Throughout the evening, organizations and individuals were recognized for their contributions to corporate real estate and community.

“It was really wonderful to be able to get back to the CoreNet Core Awards in-person this year,” says Chris Turner. “Throughout the last two years of the pandemic our industry has continued to collaborate on meaningful projects that benefit our city, and it was great to be able to recognize everyone’s hard work and dedication despite the challenges we’ve all endured.”

CBI and Knoll supported the event as Trophy Sponsors and were also awarded the Judge’s Choice Award for their participation in furnishing a Salute to Service Lounge at the Veterans Bridge Home in Charlotte, N.C.

John Sell says, “It was an honor for us to accept the Judge’s Choice Award for the work we did on the Veterans Bridge Home Salute to Service Lounge. Giving back to our local communities is a pillar of CBI’s culture, and we have a special place in our hearts for Veteran services. Building the Salute to Service Lounge with industry partners like DRP, Little, the Carolina Panthers and Lowes is a prime example of how industry collaboration can create amazing results.”
