The similarities in thinking early on and the competitive nature the two companies worked against for so many years has contributed to MillerKnoll now being able to offer the most exclusive and state-of-the-art collective of brands that you will find in our industry. 

Herman Miller was founded in 1905 in Zeeland, MI in the beginning of the 20th century while Knoll was founded 33 years later in New York, NY. Both companies embraced modernism as a foundational value and enlisted now famous designers to develop beautiful solutions for the home and office.
